The Lat ics goalkeeper writes every week for Chron Sport
AFTER everything that has gone on at the club this week, the lads are ready for match day tomorrow.
It’s been hectic at the ground, of course, and I think it’s safe to say the traffic warden will have dished out a few more parking tickets than normal in Furtherwood Road.
When we played Doncaster the other week it just didn’t feel like a proper game. We allowed ourselves to drop to their tempo that day, and that just hasn’t been us this season. In most games so far, we’ve been the leaders on the pitch. We’ve made teams work hard and always looked to play at our pace.
Tomorrow it’s going to be up to us to ask questions of Doncaster and see what their response to that will be. We know what’s needed, and that’s for us to get a win.
It’s been a good week of training for everyone. We’ve been using the facilities down at the new OCL gym in Chadderton, near Asda.
It’s a nice, new place there and we’ve been doing circuits and relays, and, of course, using the swimming pool.
With no game the lads definitely needed that because we’ve not had many days off in between.
It’s a crucial game tomorrow for lots of different ways, but as I stated earlier, all the players know exactly what is required and we have prepared well.
