FULLY FOCUSED: Brian Wilson believes Athletic will not drop their guard after their heroics against Swindon.
DEPENDABLE right-back Brian Wilson is targeting an improved record against the division’s strugglers —starting tomorrow with his former employers.
The former Colchester captain was back in top form in the hard-fought win over Swindon this week, having endured a tough night seven days earlier in a losing cause at Barnsley.
Now he is hoping to be part of a side that will finally see off one of League One’s bottom-four clubs, to bolstering Athletic’s play-offs bid.
“The lads put in a great shift against Swindon,” Wilson said. “But as the gaffer said, it is important we pick up points from the teams near the bottom of the table. We haven’t really done that yet.”
