CONOR WILKINSON: international recognition.
CONOR Wilkinson has been included in the Republic of Ireland under-21 squad for the UEFA European Championship qualifier against Andorra.
The on-loan Bolton striker (20) is part of an 18-man squad for a clash in Waterford on March 26 (7.45pm kick-off).
Striker Wilkinson could be forced to miss Athletic’s home derby against Rochdale two days earlier.
Athletic may also head into that game without Carl Winchester. The midfield star is likely to be named in the full Northern Ireland squad for a double-header: a friendly against Scotland and a Euro 2016 qualifying game against Finland, on March 25 and 29 respectively.
If he plays in those, Winchester will miss both the Rochdale game and Athletic’s trip to Bradford on March 28.
