ANDY Ritchie and Paul Scholes were among footballing greats who lined up for a combined Athletic and Manchester United legends charity game last night at SportsDirect.com Park.
Money was raised for the Francis House Children’s Hospice in Didsbury as more than 1,100 spectators watched the game against Manchester amateur side AFC Gold Cup.
Ex-Athletic stars Richard Graham, Mark Allott, Craig Dudley and Mark Innes turned out alongside radio DJ Mike Sweeney and former Reds star Scott McGarvey.
But it was bad news for the legends: AFC Gold Cup won 4-3 with a late winner from Nathan Ashcroft.
