Lee-ding from the front at troubled Robins

A CHAIRMAN managing the team, a crippling injury list and one win in the last eight games means there could hardly be a better time for Athletic to face beleaguered Swindon.
Lee Power ended the two-year reign of manager Mark Cooper after a 2-0 defeat at Millwall on Saturday and the chairman, a former Norwich player, is reportedly picking the side for tonight’s clash at the County Ground.
He has a job: Swindon’s side is unrecognisable from that which went through the previous campaign to the play-off final. With 11 players now missing through injury or suspension, the Robins are embroiled in a scrap near the foot of the table.
“Lee Power will take temporary charge of the team, but will definitely not be the club’s next manager,” a Swindon statement read.
With so many injuries, it is very much a scratch Swindon side that faces Athletic. Brad Barry, nephew of Gareth, is in at right-back and central defender Raphael Branco is charged with holding things together at the back, while Nicky Ajose ploughs a lone furrow up front.
