THANK YOU . . . Athletic’s players applaud the travelling army after their 2-1 victory at Chesterfield.
ATHLETIC manager Dunn revealed it took a blast at the interval to get his men playing with purpose at Chesterfield on Saturday.
“We were passing it, but we were not penetrating or getting any real chances. It was stop-start,” he said.
“I said before the game, I didn’t want to play like the away team — but we set up like we were.
“The second half was miles better. There was a bit of a rocket at half-time, but sometimes you need a little bit of that.”
Dunn was also keen to pass on best wishes tos the supporter who suffered a heart attack in the stand early in the game.
He said: “I hope the fan that was taken ill gets well soon and we wish him well, from all the staff and the players.”
