Eckersley injury blow

ATHLETIC defender Richard Eckersley, whose game ended after 71 minutes, sustained a suspected medial knee ligaments injury during yesterday’s match against Doncaster.

David Dunn’s side remain 22nd in the table, and face bottom side Colchester at home on Saturday.

There is as yet no new date for the Blackpool game, called off on Boxing Day due to a waterlogged pitch at Bloomfield Road.
