Not even Sir Alex could cut out errors - Dunn

Ahead of discussions with the Athletic board, boss David Dunn stated his belief that no manager in the game could solve the current malaise of errors while also taking responsibility for poor results.
“I want it to be a massive transfer window,” he added. “Whether that happens or not, I don’t know.
“We will have a meeting this week and I have certain players I want to bring in. I leave that to the powers that be.
“I am responsible for the results and the results have not been good enough. I could tell you a million and one things why. But I can’t prepare a team to keep making individual errors. How do I do that? I don’t think Sir Alex Ferguson could do that. Get Jose Mourinho in here and he would not be able to sort that out.
“We are doing loads of work on the training ground. But it is about people having the courage to go out there and perform.”
