Big challenge for Latics youths
Date published: 27 January 2016
TONY Philliskirk feels his side are as ready as they can be for their attempt on making the 16 of the FA Youth Cup.
A highly-rated Luton Town outfit heads to Oldham tonight (7pm), and Philliskirk is expecting as tough a game as they get at youth level. But he believes if his team performs as it did against the Cherries in the previous round, they stand a chance.
“They are very strong and powerful,” said the coach, “but we know if we play to our potential it will put us in with a chance.”
The winners of the tie will face an away trip to Preston.
