GO FOR IT . . . Athletic’s latest signing Curtis Main shows his intent.

CURTIS Main became the 38th player to represent Athletic this season when he came off the bench at Blackpool last week.

The on-loan Doncaster striker — 12th loan signing of the season — followed in the footsteps of another recent arrival under John Sheridan, Aaron Amadi-Holloway.

Sheridan has so far added four players in the month he has been back in charge: Matt Palmer and Anthony Gerrard are the others.

James Wilson has played more than anyone else with Liam Kelly just behind him — despite missing a month after a knee operation. No other side in league one has used as many players this season.

Peterborough (37) and Barnsley (35) follow close behind, in contrast with the division’s top three clubs, Walsall (23), Gillingham (25) and Burton (27).
