Robins soaring after slow start

TWO Swindon strikers in hot form are aiming to put a dent in Athletic’s ambitions.
Nicky Ajose, a scorer in the 2-1 home loss to a side then managed by David Dunn earlier in the season, has struck 18 times in his last 21 appearances for the Robins in a season that is suddenly looking promising.
And if Ajose fails to fire, Jon Obika showed in midweek what he is capable of. The well-travelled former Tottenham prospect hadn’t scored in his previous eight games for the Robins, but managed to score two to see off Doncaster 2-0 on Tuesday night.
That was a fourth straight victory for a Swindon side that has now won 11 of its last 18 games.
“We’re definitely pleased with the performance,” Obika said afterwards. “We’re in good form, so it’s good to continue that.
Only four clubs in the division have scored more than Swindon’s tally of 53 league goals this season.
