TAREIQ Holmes-Dennis has signed for Athletic on a youth loan until the end of the season.
The Charlton left-back (20) has a dozen appearances for the Addicks to his name this season and has played for Athletic boss John Sheridan before.
Last season, Holmes-Dennis played 20 times as Plymouth reached the play-off semi-finals in Sky Bet League Two, where the Pilgrims were seen off by Wycombe. He has also played on loan at Oxford.
Sheridan says he will add balance on Athletic’s left side: “I really like him as a player and he did really well for me at Plymouth,” Sheridan said.
“He is a young, very energetic player and I just felt we needed a bit of strengthening down the left side.
“I’ve only got two left-footers in Joseph Mills and Jonathan Forte, so I wanted a bit more balance. He can play full-back or further up so I’m pleased to get him.”
