DEAN Holden says he has returned to Walsall armed with plenty of useful experience.
The 36 year old rejoined the Saddlers last week having left Athletic with David Dunn two months ago.
Holden, who played 34 times for Walsall before taking a role as the club’s development coach, spent time as Athletic's manager late last season when Lee Johnson left for Barnsley, then stayed under Darren Kelly and Dunn.
Back at the Banks’s Stadium, he is a member of the coaching staff interim manager Jon Whitney.
“To say I’m happy to be back here would be an understatement,” said Holden. “It’s been an interesting time since I was last here. .
“Oldham was a fantastic experience for a young coach like me and I’m coming back a much more experienced coach. I’ve settled in nicely with the staff and I know how this club works.”
