WINNING GOAL . . . Josh Law
ATHLETIC 2, WIGAN 1
JOSH Law struck a late winner as Athletic earned the scalp of Championship side Wigan.
The full-back played a neat one-two with Ryan Flynn and converted coolly from close range in the 83rd minute to send the hosts through.
Flynn had opened the scoring with a superb solo goal on 18 minutes, dancing through into the penalty area before slotting home.
Grigg leveled with a powerful volley after Athletic's defending from a corner proved wanting again in the 34th minutes.
Wigan defender Jake Buxton was sent off for a high tackle on Marc Klok just before half-time.
Lee Erwin and Peter Clarke both failed to make good headed chances count for the home side in the second half before Law netted the winner.
