GOAL . . . Peter Clarke
BRADFORD 1, ATHLETIC 1
ATHLETIC earned a valuable point at Bradford thanks to an early Peter Clarke goal.
The centre-back rose to plant a header home from a fifth-minute Marc Klok free-kick to hand Stephen Robinson's men the lead at Valley Parade.
Connor Ripley saved superbly from Mark Marshall and Timothee Dieng and Billy Clarke went close to levelling, while at the other end Athletic felt Billy Mckay was fouled in the area and the same playeer headed not far wide.
Bradford got the equaliser as the pressure told. Ousmane Fane was judged to have hauled back Josh Cullen in the 57th minute and Billy Clarke sent Ripley the wrong way from the spot.
Ripley made another excellent save from James Meredith and the hosts pushed hard for a winner, with Marshall shooting only just over in added time.
It left Athletic grateful to escape with a draw that extends the unbeaten run in the league to four games.
