NEIL Joy is to leave Athletic to take up a position at AFC Fylde.
The club's chief executive, who was also a board member, departs at the end of this month in order to to join the ambitious Vanarama National League North outfit after four years combining his position at SportsDirect.com Park with that of club secretary.
"I have met many interesting people, made some great friends and will really miss the place," Joy, who has stepped down from the board with immediate effect, told Athletic's website.
"I will take some great football memories with me, most notably Matt Smith's injury time equaliser against Everton in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
"I would like to put on record my gratitude to all the staff, managers and players I have had the pleasure to work with, many of whom have gone above and beyond in the best interests of Oldham Athletic.
"I wish the club every success for the future."
