Carnival talk

NEW members are welcome to attend the latest meeting of Failsworth Carnival Committee tonight at Hope Methodist Church, Oldham Road, at 8pm. This year’s carnival takes place on July 16 and 17.



JOIN Oldham Garden Suburbs Over-60s’ Club on Thursday for a talk on Lancashire Women by Ann Ashton at The Pavilion, Green Lane, from 2.30 to 4pm, in aid of Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.



FANS of Failsworth History can listen to a talk by John Fidler about Failsworth Pole on Saturday at the Education Suite, Gallery Oldham, from 2pm. Admission £2, members £1.



OLDHAM Garden Suburb Association is holding a Ceilidh Night on Saturday from 8 to 11.55pm at The Pavilion, Green Lane, Garden Suburb. For more details email info@oldhamgardensuburb.co.uk .



FANS of the Hollinwood Together Festival can request a stall booking form by emailing sarah@parentsforplay.org.uk This year’s event will be held on July 10 at Limeside Park, from noon to 4pm.



GREEN-FINGERED residents can attend a garden sale on Saturday at Roman Road Independent Methodist Church, Failsworth, 10am to noon. Second-hand garden equipment and plants for sale. Refreshments served.
