JOIN the Failsworth and Beyond Women’s Institute tomorrow for a humorous talk by Kate Dibble, Blue Badge Tour Guide, entitled “The Trials and Tribulations of a Tour Guide” at Middleton & Chadderton Sea Cadets Unit, 265a Oldham Road, Failsworth, from 7.30pm.
THE Garden Suburb Over-60s group will get together on Thursday for their annual general meeting at The Pavilion, Green Lane, at 2.30pm.
THE holidays are here for students at Failsworth School, Brierley Avenue, which closes on Friday for the summer break. The school will reopen to teachers on September 5 and to pupils on September 6.
ENJOY coffee and cakes on Saturday at Beulah Baptist Church, Withins Road, Hollinwood, 2.30 to 3.30pm. Free admission, in aid of church funds. All welcome.
GET your walking boots ready for a two-hour wander with the Garden Suburb Walking Group on Sunday. Meet at Strinesdale Visitors’ Centre, The Old Waterworks, Holgate Street, Waterhead, 2pm. Wear suitable footwear.
HEAD to the great outdoors on Monday with a healthy walk around Daisy Nook Country Park at 1pm. It’s part of the Let’s Go For A Walk scheme with Oldham Council and Oldham Community Health Services.
CAKES, games and face painting are on offer at a family fun day at the Vaal Street Community Centre, Hollinwood, on Saturday, July 30. It has been organised by Street Link, a community project run by the New Life Church in Failsworth
