Townswomen help for heroes

JOIN Failsworth Townswomen’s Guild tonight at Failsworth Town Hall, Oldham Road, at 7.30pm for a fundraising event for guild charity Help For Heroes.
The award-winning Eccles Community Choir will provide the entertainment, with a tombola and crafts sale available on the night.
YOUNG readers can attend Bookstart Rhymetime tomorrow at Failsworth Library, from 2 to 3pm.
COMMUNITY matters will be discussed tomorrow night at the latest Failsworth and Hollinwood District Partnership, Lyndhurst Primary School, Heron Street, 7pm. All welcome.
HAVE some bingo fun with the Garden Suburb Over-60s Club on Thursday at the Pavilion, Green Lane, 2.30pm. Admission of £1 includes tea, biscuits and raffle.
JOB seekers can get a helping hand back into employment at the Hollinwood Work Club on Thursday at Limehurst Library, 1 to 3pm. Get help finding the right job, completing application forms and preparing for interviews.
GET in the mood for the festive spirit on Thursday with the Oldham Rugby Supporters’ Association Christmas Quiz Night at the Whitebank Stadium, Limeside, 8pm. £1 per person, maximum six per team.
MEET Santa on Saturday at a Christmas fair at St Margaret’s Church, Hollinwood, 11am-3pm. Raffle, tombola, games and stalls, refreshments, hot lunches and sandwiches. Free admission.
TOTS up to 12 months can enjoy a Baby Matters play session on Monday, November 28, at Failsworth Children’s Centre, Propps Hall Drive, from 3.15 to 4.30pm.
