ENCOURAGE your children to stay healthy with the Mend 7-13 programme. The free 10-week scheme will run every Tuesday and Thursday 5-7pm at Lyndhurst Primary School, Heron Street, Hollins, and invites seven-13-year-olds and their parents or carers to stay fit and healthy. CHILDREN with additional needs are welcomed to Hands Club, at Avenues Community Hall, First Avenue, Hollinwood. Youngsters aged three to 11 and their siblings can visit the centre on the last Saturday of every month between 1pm-3pm.
EXPERIENCE the dawn chorus with a walk around Daisy Nook Country Park on Sunday. Between 6 and 8am, you’ll walk around the park with rangers who’ll teach you how to recognise birds by sound and sight. Don’t forget your binoculars! RELAX this Saturday afternoon with a concert from the Co-op Choir, performing at Hollins Methodist Church, Millgate at 2.30pm. Price includes refreshments and proceeds go to church funds.
