A HELP for Heroes coffee morning takes place on Saturday.

ENJOY a night with a difference, by visiting Friday Night Live at Woodhouses Church. Book tickets for the hotly anticipated night on Friday, which will see singers, musicians, dancers and guest speakers perform, before guests can relax and unwind in the licensed bar. MEMBERS of the Failsworth Townswomen’s Guild are celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee tonight with a buffet and entertainment at Failsworth Town Hall between 7.30 and 10pm. Call 0161-684 8285 for more information.
AN application for St James’s Church, Byron Street, Hollinwood, to be turned into offices has been accepted. Changes will include installation of a pitched roof, canopies, a perimeter fence, removal of some trees and an expansion of the car park. The development must begin within three years. The offices, when complete, will be open between 8am-8pm Monday to Friday, and 8am-6pm on Saturdays.
