Bert toasts her 101st

MANY happy returns . . . Bert Taylor is 101 today
LIVING life to the full and enjoying every minute is the secret to a long and happy life according to Bert Taylor.
And she should know: today she celebrates her 101st birthday.
Bert, of Charles Morris House, Failsworth, was born at the Ordnance Arms in Glodwick and brought up in various pubs around Oldham with her two sisters and one brother.
Bert lived in Egerton Street, St Mary’s, until two years ago and had a long career in catering and as a publican.
She will celebrate her birthday with friends and staff at the extra-care housing accommodation.
