United stand sparks help for fed-up locals

A HOUSING group has pledged its support to a fed-up community left blighted by anti-social behaviour.
Tormented residents of Failsworth made a stand at a recent public meeting against the “reckless” neighbours who cause problems for Dean Street and Dawson Street — and cited one particular problematic family in Mather Street.
A street resident questioned Regenda director Bill Lovat at Failsworth and Hollinwood District Partnership, claiming some residents are on the verge of leaving the area.
Mr Lovat said no complaints had been made to him directly but pledged: “We are a big organisation, but we have a responsibility for these areas. It’s a very serious concern for us. We will work together to address the issue.”
