Cars targeted

POLICE have issued a second warning about unlocked car doors. Officers from Failsworth first reported an incident on Minor Street, where an unlocked car had been targeted.
They have since reported another three vehicle break-ins in the same area.
YOUNGSTERS with additional needs or disabilities are invited to a play session at Failsworth Sports Centre. The Play My Way Plus class will be held on Monday, August 20, between 10 and 11am, for five to 10-year-olds. It will be run by specialist workers and will include games, arts and music. RETROSPECTIVE planning permission has been refused on a property in Failsworth. A proposal to turn 491 Oldham Road from offices into a beauty salon was given the red light. Council documents state that the salon goes against council regulations covering business employment areas.
