POLICE have reported thefts of clothing — from bags left outside charity shops.
Thieves have stolen donated items left outside Age Concern branches in Lord Lane and Failsworth Precinct.
WALKERS will be going batty for a upcoming walk round Daisy Nook.
A dusk bat walk to find the creatures and listen to their sounds with special detectors will be held on Saturday, September 22. More information can be found at the Country Park Visitor Centre.
WOMEN are being urged to take care, after men were spotted entering hair salons and stealing valuables.
Police issued the warning after mobile phones were taken from several Failsworth beauty businesses. They said: “Don’t leave bags and phones unattended.”
LOCALS looking to bag a bargain are invited to a table-top sale. The event will be held at the Hollins Methodist Church, Millgate, between 10am and 12.30pm on Saturday, September 8. Full English breakfasts will be available for £3. Sellers are advised to book a table in advance by contacting Glenis on 07722 065 105.
YOUNGSTERS who want to jump and somersault their way to success have just a few days left to join in. A trampolining class, at Failsworth Sports Centre, will be running every day until Friday, for five to 16-year-olds. For more information and to check times, contact Jolene Swann on 0161-621 3360.
POLICE have vowed to tackle anti-social behaviour in Failsworth, targeting the precinct and outside Aldi, KFC and Tesco. Patrols will be running between 6 and 11pm — and youths found in the area will have their details recorded.
