ST JOHN’S Church, Failsworth, is holding a table-top sale on Saturday.
The event will be held between 10am and noon in the Mission Hall on Church Street. Refreshments will be available. To book a table or for more information call 07974-831 467.
YOUNGSTERS are invited to make traditional bonfire food at Limehurst Youth Centre on Friday. A cooking class and arts-and-crafts session will be held between 5.15 and 7.45pm at the Farm Road centre. Anyone aged 12 or over is invited, at just 20p per person.
A CLASS for children who want to learn more about their environment will be held at Park Bridge Heritage Centre on Sunday. KITE — Kids in the Environment — will be held from 10am until noon. Children aged between seven and 11 are invited for a session of fun activities and learning. Under-eights must be accompanied by an adult.
A COFFEE morning to raise money for Hearing Dogs for the Deaf will be held at Broadway Luncheon Club on Tuesday, November 20. The event, organised by Failsworth Townswomen’s Guild, will be held between 11am and 2pm at the Lord Lane club. It will include Christmas stalls, home-made cakes and crafts.
POLICE in Failsworth have closed down a cannabis farm containing more than 50 plants. The stash was found at a house on Glenmore Drive last Monday. A man was arrested at the house and the plants were seized and destroyed.
SPECIALIST debt and money advice sessions run by Citizens’ Advice are held every Tuesday at Failsworth Library, Oldham Road. A drop-in session is held between 9.30am and 12.30pm, or an appointment can be made between 1.30 and 4pm. Call 0161-770 5820.
