Lights go up the Pole for Christmas!

Failsworth’s Christmas Lights switch was a happy occasion for hundreds of local people.

Chaddy the Owl and Minnie and Mickey Mouse joined Mayor of Oldham, Councillor Olwen Chadderton, for the switch on.

Oldham Council leader Jim McMahon - a local councillor - said: “It was very well attended, particularly considering the cold weather. There was loads going on and there was a great atmosphere.

“People were singing along to carols, it was a great family occasion.”
