THERE’S still time to nominate your favourite gorgeous garden or blooming basket for this year’s Failsworth in Bloom competition. A FLOWER show and photography competition will be held next Tuesday, July 2, at Failsworth Town Hall, Oldham Road, from 7.30 to 10pm. It is organised by the Failsworth Townswomen’s Guild. New members welcome.



DELICIOUS strawberries and cream will take centre stage at the latest meeting of Failsworth Historical Society on Wednesday, July 4, at the pavilion at Woodhouses Cricket Club, Medlock Road, from 7pm. There will also be a quiz, raffle and entertainment. £3.50 for members and friends.
