HOLLINWOOD residents can discuss community concerns at a police surgery tomorrow at School House Flats, Incline Road, Hollinwood, from 10am to noon. All welcome.
THE Failsworth and Beyond Women’s Institute (FaB WI) are holding their annual general meeting tomorrow at the Middleton and Chadderton Sea Cadets Unit, 265a Oldham Road, Failsworth, from 7.30pm. Cheese, pickle and biscuits supper, raffle and refreshments. Call 0161-627 5782/682 1867.
JOIN The Oldham Garden Suburb Association (OGSA) Over-60s Club on Thursday at The Pavilion, Green Lane, from 2 to 3.45pm. The social club meets every two weeks and hosts occasional guest speakers. All welcome.
A YOUNG parents’ group for mums and dads aged up to 25 is being held on Friday at Failsworth Children’s Centre, Propps Hall Drive, Failsworth, 1.30 to 3pm. Meet other young parents and take part in fun activities. Admission 50p.
SCHOOL’S out for summer on Friday at Failsworth High School, Brierley Avenue; and Oasis Academy Oldham, Hollinwood. Classes start up again for Failsworth pupils on Tuesday, September 3.
CELEBRATE with St Margaret’s and St Chad’s Church on Saturday. The patronal festival of St Margaret of Antioch with a solemn mass at St Margaret’s Church, Chapel Road, takes place at noon followed by refreshments. All welcome. For more details call 0161-682 5106.
