A TEDDY bears’ picnic takes place today and every Tuesday during August at the Grassroots Community Project, Marlborough Drive, from 11am to 1pm. Admission is £1.50 per child.

A HISTORY of Manchester is the topic of a talk by guest speaker Margaret Curry at tomorrow’s meeting of Failsworth Historical Society. The talk details central Manchester from the 1400s to the latter years of the 20th century at Broadbent Luncheon Club, Lord Lane, from 7pm. New members welcome.
