GET the popcorn out for a Christmas movie showing at Limeside Park on Saturday.

Funded by the Big Lottery Fund, Hollinwood Together has organised two Christmas movies, “Arthur Christmas” and “It’s a Wonderful Life”, to be shown in the afternoon in a big, heated marquee.

Tickets can be bought from Limehurst Library or Contour Homes on Hollins Road. Refreshments will be provided by St Margaret’s Church. For more information, call Sarah Furbey, on 07985 538 229.



IT’S Christmas party night tomorrow from 7.30 for members of the Failsworth and Beyond Women’s Institute (FaB WI) at Chadderton Sea Cadets on Oldham Road. There will also be a competition for home-made Christmas decorations.



COME along to the Roman Road IM Church tomorrow as it celebrates Christmas with a short service, including carols, followed by refreshments. This will take place in the church sanctuary from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.



ARE you looking for work or a new job opportunity? The Limehurst Library Work Club is offering a free service on Thursday from 1-3pm to help people identify their skills and sell them positively, as well as help with job applications and creating and updating CVs. IT’S all hands on deck on Saturday from 10am to ensure that St Margaret’s Church on Chapel Road is ready for Christmas.



A CHRISTMAS Eve family night is taking place for residents of Garden Suburbs next Tuesday at the Pavilion. There will be games and family fun from 7-10pm. Tickets, at £3.50 for adults and £2.50 for children, can be bought by contacting Francesca on 07437 019245.
