Litter pick

HELP clean up your local area this Saturday by taking part in the Malton Garden community clean up. Meet at Z+Z newsagents, in Dean Street, from 11am, where councillors, police, Regenda homes officers and residents will be litter picking and recycling as much as possible.
ARE you a dab hand at playing cards? The Failsworth bridge club meets every Tuesday, from 6.30 to 9.30pm, at Failsworth Town Hall and new players are welcome. For more information call 0161-770 5800.
IF you enjoy a chat over a cuppa, the Lighthouse group runs every Friday between 10am-noon at the Macedonia United Reformed Church, in Ashton Road East. All are welcome.

MEET Father Christmas and treat yourself to home-made cakes, toys and a tombola at Hope Methodist Church’s Christmas fair on Saturday, from 11am-2pm. Admission is just 30p.
ENJOY a concert featuring the Failsworth Community Band in aid of the Kingfisher Community Special School, at Failsworth Town Hall, on Tuesday, November 25, from 7.30pm. Admission is £2.50, which includes refreshments and there will also be a tombola and craft stall.
IT will be a day of fun at the Dunamis Christian Church’s Christmas fair on Saturday, from 11am-3pm. There will be a Santa’s Grotto and face painting.
