OLDHAM-BORN musician Faraday is not far away from his dream - as he prepares himself for his inaugural gig in the capital.
Solo artist Martin Minshall (17) will soon tread the same stage on the same night as indie favourites Carl Barat, of Libertines fame and The Maccabees.
The young singer-songwriter performs on a jam-packed bill this Friday evening at The Scala in London.
Three months ago Martin, known as Faraday to his fans, proclaimed filling Wembley Stadium is an ultimate dream.
Well he is arguably making that first step on the ladder later this week.
“It’s quite exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time,” he said.
“It’s quite a lot of weight on my shoulders, but when you have a passion for something, like I do for music, then you have got embrace it.”
The plucky former St Augustine’s pupils released an EP entitled Perspectiv, recorded from the comfort of his own bedroom earlier this year.
