The Radclyffe School raises the aspirations of all students as soon as they walk through our doors to achieve outstanding progress.
Provision for the Gifted and Talented (G&T) students in particular nurtures their academic and personal progression. These highly able students in Maths, English and Science are mentored and given regular opportunities to further develop themselves and their aspirations: Advanced courses; The Gifted Student Academy; University and college taster days; China visits; and PGL trips.
Students at The Radclyffe School are also identified within other faculties for their talents, and specified subject-staff work with those students to help them to reach the full potential of their talents.
This academic year has seen the introduction of the Radclyffe School's first Gifted and Talented Student Ambassador. Emma Helm has been appointed in this role to work alongside staff within the school to help further develop the relationship between G&T students and the school. She will be involved in all G&T activities, trips and initiatives and will help to raise the aspirations of all students in schools as a fantastic role model - Emma is making outstanding progress in school, including being one of 6 students to achieve an A* in her Maths GCSE in Year 10 this year and aims to "go to Oxford University and to become Prime Minister."
