A CRACKING night is in prospect at Royton Cricket Club on Friday, May 15, when indie rockers The Visitors are the chief support to ace Oldham DJ Clint Boon.
The Inspiral Carpets keys man will be at the decks while Jack, Charles, Greg and Conor will belt out some of their increasingly popular original tunes. Only a few tickets remain;, check with the cricket club for availability.
DON’T forget the Mods Mayday event, the latest offering from Oldham’s Collective of Cool, which takes place on Friday at the Cotton Rooms in Rock Street (7.30pm until late). Tickets (£3) from Scoots, Suits and Boots in Yorkshire Street. Profits will go to Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.

OLDHAM electro hopefuls Goda Tungl have scored their first date in Leeds - and it’s free entry. The four-piece outfit will play the Verve Bar’s Double Denim night in Leeds on May 8.
CHARLIE Hedges, a third of the Kiss FM breakfast team, is heading to Oldham on Sunday to DJ at Liquid. Clubbers can expect a tougher upfront house set from one of the few female house DJs on the scene at the moment.
