A very limited number of tickets are still left for Saturday’s Gigantic Indie All-Dayer at the Manchester Academy.
Top bands are set to feature in a cracking day of music, from with Echo and the Bunnymen, Pop Will Eat Itself and Echobelly to the Woodentops and the Milltown Brothers. Oldham will be represented by Madchester legends the Inspiral Carpets, while the High — fronted by former Radclyffe School pupil John Matthews — will celebrate their recent reformation after more than two decades.
The Inspirals provide main support to the Bunnymen on the main stage from around 8.30pm. Steve, Clint, Graham, Craig and Martyn have promised a ‘greatest hits’ set. The High are the headline act on the second stage from arund 10pm.

DJ Jonny Revel will play music from the decade. Tickets £5 on the door. On May 30 the Velocetas play the award-winning Carrion Crow pub in Huddersfield Road.
