Clint Boon - BBC show
MUSIC EXTRA: CONGRATULATIONS to my friend, musician and DJ Clint Boon, who is to join BBC Radio Manchester as part of a number of changes to the station’s schedule.
Oldham legend Clint, the hugely popular keyboard player of the Inspiral Carpets, will host a Saturday evening show dedicated to the best music from the 1980s.
He has presented on radio stations across the North-West for the last 20 years, establishing a loyal following among listeners and earning two Sony Award nominations. His first show on Radio Manchester will be this Saturday, 6pm-8pm. He will also continue his Sunday evening slot on Radio X, the station formerly known as XFM.
“I am really looking forward to joining BBC Radio Manchester" he said. “It’s a fantastic station and I can’t wait to get started.”
