MUSIC EXTRA: MINISTRY of Sound-signed Liverpool tunester Louis Berry is heading to Manchester with his firebrand vocals and no-frills rock ’n’ roll set to make a huge impression at the tiny Castle venue.

Growing up, Louis’ life was spent living on his wits, but he has found solace in his music. Think Johnny Cash as you listen to his latest single, “45”. Lyrically provoking and vocally enticing listeners, “45” has been written as a message for people to open their eyes and ask questions.

The B-side — “Prince of Thieves” — also hits on Louis’ rock ’n’ roll honesty, and was recorded live during his first studio demo session.

Louis’s has been a bit of a whirlwind so far: he released his debut EP “Rebel” only last year. But that EP gained critical acclaim and helped to build a loyal fanbase.
