ADAM Clay scored a hat-trick of tries in the defeat by Batley
Oldham 28, Batley Bulldogs 48
OLDHAM RL were beaten by Batley Bulldogs in a high-scoring contest at the Manchester Regional Arena.
The Kingstone Press Championship encounter was evenly-poised at half-time - the sides were locked together at 22-22 - but it was the Bulldogs who powered clear in the second period.
Adam Clay notched a hat-trick of tries for the Roughyeds, with Adam Neal and Danny Grimshaw also diving in. Scott Leatherbarrow kicked four goals.
The boot of Cain Southernwood landed eight goals for Bulldogs to back up the eight tries they scored.
