ROUGHYEDS commercial manager Mick Bradshaw has issued an open invitation to fans to attend the launch of an Official Supporters' Club.
The event will take place on Thursday, October 2, at the home of Waterhead ARLFC on Peach Road (7pm for a 7.30pm start).
A host of topics are being lined up for discussion, including the relaunch of the Junior Roughyeds. A committee will be elected by supporters on the night, while a variety of prospective social events for 2009 will be announced.
These include a Roughyeds open day — a chance to meet players, coaching staff, Roary the Roughyed and board members — which will double up as the Official Supporters' Club launch.
There are also plans afoot for a fans' forum, family fun day and race night for next year, among other activities, and the intention is to give the Supporters' Club a big say in the running of such events.
THE END of season awards night takes place on Thursday, September 18, at Hotel Smokies Park, Bardsley.
Tickets, at £30 each, can be booked through the club on (0161) 6283677.
