Caution over injured pair

PAUL REILLY and Phil Joseph are the two primary injury concerns for the Roughyeds at present.
With adverse weather conditions resulting in slippery surfaces, the Huddersfield-based pair had their training sessions modified at the weekend due to their respective problems.
Reilly, the 32-year-old utility back signed from Super League side Wakefield, suffered a serious back injury last term and the club don’t want to take any risks on that score.
Joseph is feeling a calf strain from which he is expected to fully recover in the next seven days.
The club is currently in the process of fixing up a number of pre-season friendlies, though nothing has been confirmed as yet.
A Law Cup clash with crisis club Rochdale Hornets is a possibility for a warm-up prior to the Northern Rail Cup which starts on Sunday, February 8, with a home match against the very same opposition.
There is also a home game against Super League champions Leeds Rhinos due to be scheduled at some point, while the possibility exists that one of the pre-season friendlies could yet take place before Christmas.
