Roughyeds' opener frozen off

The Roughyeds' opening game of the season planned for Sunday is off.
They had been due to meet local rivals Rochdale Hornets at Boundary Park in the first of their Northern Rail Cup group games.
But local offiicial Ian Smith inspected the pitch on Friday afternoon and with further frost forecast for the weekend, had no alternative but the postpone the match.
The two clubs have now agreed to rearrange the tie for Wednesday, February 18 (7.45pm).
