Roughyeds bite into Holland’s sponsor deal

OLDHAM Roughyeds have landed a season-long shirt-sleeve sponsorship deal with Holland’s Pies.
The Baxenden-based company was Burnley Football Club’s major kit sponsor for three years until last year, but it’s 2010 partnership with the Roughyeds breaks new ground in Rugby League.
Club and company did a one-off link-up for the Roughyeds’ opening game of the season at Leigh Centurions in the Northern Rail Cup on January 31 when Gary Brooks, Holland’s National Accounts Manager (stadia) was a guest of the Oldham club.
Mr Brooks said today: “In more ways than one these are exciting times for Oldham Rugby League Club and we are delighted to be associated with the club in this way.
“We felt here was an opportunity to get the company started on kit sponsorship in Rugby League. We are associated with several clubs as suppliers, and we have had major links with Burnley FC in the past as kit sponsors, but this is the first association of its kind between Holland’s Pies and a club in the Rugby Football League.”
