WORK commitments have forced Roughyeds centre Craig Littler to retire from rugby league.
The 24-year-old former St Helens player scored six tries in 27 appearances in his first season with Oldham in 2007, but since then he has played only 26 times, scoring 11 tries.
“Craig has had continuing problems because of his shift patterns at work, but he is now starting a new job which means he will have to work every Saturday as well,” said Chris Hamilton. “As a result of that, he has had to retire.”
The last training session in readiness for the weekend game is usually held on a Saturday morning.
