OLDHAM solicitors Wrigley Claydon are again backing Oldham Rugby League Club in 2010.
The Wrigley Claydon logo is carried on the sleeve of the Roughyeds’ home and away jerseys — testament to the support given to the town’s rugby league club by the Oldham’s oldest legal firm.
John Porter, of Wrigley Claydon, said: “We’ve been around a long time, and we are proud to have been Oldham RLFC’s solicitors for more than 20 years, going back to the former club when it was at Watersheddings.
“Our association carried on when the new club was formed in 1997, and we are happy not only to be continuing in that role but also to be associated with the club in the form of shirt sponsors.
“We go back a long time together, and as the club’s solicitors we wish Roughyeds well both on the field and off it during what will hopefully be a very satisfying season.”
THE OLDHAM reserve team’s opening league game at Leigh on Saturday has been rescheduled for later in the season, having been called off by the hosts.
Their first-team doctor travels with the Centurions senior side to Toulouse Olympique for their game in France on Friday and they have been unable to find a replacement medic for the reserve-team game, as required by RFL regulations.
