Kerr charged by RFL

ROUGHYEDS prop Wayne Kerr, sent off against York City Knights at Whitebank last Sunday, has been charged with a reckless high tackle.
His case will go before the RFL disciplinary committee on Tuesday and any suspension would rule him out of the following Sunday’s table-topping clash at home to Hunslet Hawks.
Kerr was sent off by referee Peter Brooke, on the intervention of a touch judge, after an incident in which York winger Dennis Tuffour went down injured 12 minutes into the second half.
The Oldham player was charged with a grade ‘B’ offence — recommended sanction suspension of either one or two matches — after the incident was examined on DVD by the match review panel.
There will be no further action against York second-row man Steve Lewis, who was placed on report for a tackle on Dave Ellison.
