Fogerty in the clear

ROUGHYEDS centre Mick Fogerty, whom referee Chris Leatherbarrow placed on report for a suspected head butt during the game against Doncaster at Whitebank on June 13, has been cleared by the Rugby League's disciplinary body.
The match review panel decided not to charge Fogerty, concluding that his on-field caution was sufficient retribution for his part in a 63rd-minute incident in which "the players brought their heads together but there was no clash".
The Roughyeds face a second successive Sunday off before their promotion push resumes at Gateshead on Sunday week, July 4.
The reserves are twice in action before then, travelling to second-placed Whitehaven tomorrow, kick-off 2.30pm, and then entertaining Dewsbury Rams at Whitebank next Friday night, July 2 (8.00pm kick-off).
The 20-man squad heading for Cumbria, and seeking Oldham's fifth win in a row, includes 23-year-old newcomer Carl Fields from the Higginshaw amateur club.
Reserves (from): Brocklehurst, Hamilton, Williams, J Knight, Chetwynd, Diveney, Connick, Mellor, Hatton, Cadd, Walker, Ward, Mansfield, Barrowclough, D Knight, Fields, Smith, Coates, Joy, Watkins.
