Roughyeds set sights on upset

HUNSLET Hawks bid to extend their lead at the top of Co-operative Championship One to six points when they entertain Workington tonight (7.30pm kick-off).
With Oldham currently three points behind the West Yorkshire side, Roughyeds fingers are crossed that Paul March’s men will slip up against an improving Cumbrian outfit who still have designs on a third-place finish.
The reserve team will have their own presentation night this year, taking place on Saturday, August 21, in the clubhouse at the Whitebank Stadium (7.30pm start).
Tickets are priced at £7.50 each, including food, and can be bought from the club offices at Lansdowne Road or before this Saturday’s reserves game with Widnes.
Five awards will be handed out on the evening, marking an already successful campaign from John Hough’s men.
OLDHAM chairman Chris Hamilton is on BBC Radio Manchester tonight between 7pm and 8pm.
