Oldham to salute fans
Date published: 06 October 2010
OLDHAM Roughyeds are to stage a ‘thank you night’ at the Whitebank Stadium on Friday, October 29 (7.30pm) for club volunteers and fans who worked tirelessly to get the ground ready for the first rugby league game there on May 9.
It will be a fun night with players in attendance and supper provided.
The club has names and contact details of a lot of fans who worked on the ground, but there are probably many others whom the club cannot contact directly.
“We will get in touch with as many of the volunteer workers as we can, but our main concern is that we don’t leave anyone out,” said commercial manager Rachael Marsters.
“We are asking, therefore, for fans who helped us to get the ground ready to ring us at the club on (0161) 628 3677 before October 22 to confirm their attendance on the night. We must know how many people will be coming.”
Fans can also confirm by emailing Rachael on rachaelorlfc@btconnect.com
