Double tonic for Oldham

INJURY-HIT Oldham RL Club hope to have experienced duo Neil Roden and Marcus St Hilaire back in action by the time they next take to the field against London Skolars at the Whitebank Stadium on Sunday, April 17.
Stand-off Roden and centre St Hilaire, captain and joint vice-captain respectively, have been badly missed during a spell in which Roughyeds have lost three of their first four Co-operative Championship One games to drop into the bottom three.
Prop Luke Sutton and teenage back Matthew Fogarty could also be ready by then, but it isn’t yet known whether winger John Gillam (recovering from facial surgery) will have been cleared to play by his consultant.
Coach Tony Benson said: “We’ve had to do it tough in recent weeks because of all the injuries, but we’ve a fortnight now in which to prepare for the visit of the Skolars and we expect most of the walking wounded to be back, including Neil (Roden) and Marcus (St Hilaire).
“With players like those two back in the side we will have a lot more direction.”
